Weak bullet points are the number one resume problem. "Responsible for managing social media accounts" tells a recruiter nothing. "Grew Instagram following from 2,000 to 18,000 in 12 months through a consistent content strategy" tells them everything. Strong bullet points show results, not just responsibilities.

Examples:
"Managed the email list" β "Grew email subscriber list from 5,000 to 22,000 by launching a lead magnet campaign, increasing monthly newsletter revenue by 40%"
"Helped with customer service" β "Resolved an average of 45 customer inquiries per day with a 97% satisfaction rating"
"Worked on product launches" β "Coordinated 3 product launches in 18 months, each delivered on time and under budget"
Review your current bullets Go through each bullet in your two most recent roles. Ask for each one:
Does it start with a strong action verb?
Does it say what I did specifically?
Does it include a result, number, or impact?
Rewrite at least 3 bullets per role Pick your weakest bullets and rewrite them using the formula. If you don't have exact numbers estimate β "approximately," "more than," and "up to" are all acceptable.
Strong action verbs to use: Achieved, Built, Created, Delivered, Developed, Drove, Generated, Grew, Implemented, Increased, Launched, Led, Managed, Optimized, Reduced, Saved, Spearheaded, Transformed
Check your bullet count Each role should have 4-6 bullet points. Too few looks thin. Too many is overwhelming.
Tips for success
If you genuinely don't have numbers ask yourself: how many, how much, how often, how fast?
Even "Trained 4 new team members" is better than "Helped with training"
Keep each bullet to one line if possible β two lines maximum
