Following companies on LinkedIn puts their job postings, news, and updates directly in your feed. This keeps you informed, gives you conversation starters for networking, and lets you engage with their content β which increases your visibility with their employees and recruiters.
Complete these steps
Search for each company on LinkedIn Use the LinkedIn search bar and select Companies from the filter options.
Click Follow on each company page Do this for all 10-15 companies on your list. This takes about 5 minutes.
Check their Jobs tab While you are on each company page click the Jobs tab to see any current openings. Add any matches to your tracker.
Look at their People tab Click the People tab to see who works there. Note any connections you already have β these could be valuable contacts later in the program.
Turn on job alerts On each company page click the bell icon or find the option to get notified when they post new jobs. This means you hear about openings immediately.
Tips for success
Engage with company posts occasionally β like or comment thoughtfully. This puts your name in front of their employees and recruiters
Check which of your connections work at these companies β a warm referral is worth 10 cold applications
Follow industry thought leaders at these companies too β not just the company page
