Build Your Portfolio or Project Evidence
As a recent graduate your portfolio is your proof of capability. It shows employers what you can do rather than asking them to take your word for it. A strong portfolio or collection of project evidence can compensate significantly for limited work experience.

Step by Step
Identify what counts as portfolio material in your field
Marketing: campaigns you ran, content you created, analytics reports
Tech: GitHub projects, apps you built, code samples
Design: visual work, UI mockups, brand projects
Finance: models you built, analysis you completed, reports you wrote
Communications: articles, press releases, social media content
Business: case studies, presentations, market research
Gather what you already have Look through your university work, internship projects, personal projects, and volunteer work. Identify the 3 to 5 strongest pieces.
Create a simple online portfolio if relevant to your field Options: LinkedIn featured section, Google Sites, Notion portfolio, GitHub, Behance, or a simple personal website. You do not need something elaborate. You need something that shows your work clearly.
Add your portfolio link to your resume and LinkedIn Include it in your contact information section on your resume and in the Featured section on LinkedIn.
Tips for success
Ask for permission before sharing work you did for an employer or client. You can often share it with company names anonymized.
If you do not have strong portfolio pieces yet consider creating one original project this week to demonstrate your skills. A spec project or personal project counts.
