Understand what they are actually asking They are not asking for your life story. They want to know: who are you professionally, what makes you relevant for this role, and why are you here today.
Use this structure Part 1: Your professional background in 1-2 sentences Part 2: Your most relevant experience or achievement Part 3: Why you are interested in this role specifically
Example: "I have spent the past 7 years in marketing with a focus on demand generation and content strategy, mostly in B2B tech companies. Most recently I was at [Company] where I led a team that grew our inbound pipeline by 60% in 18 months. I am now looking for a Senior Marketing Manager role where I can bring that same combination of strategy and execution, and [Company] stood out to me because of your approach to [specific thing about the company]."
