Connect With 5 New People on LinkedIn
Your network is only as strong as its reach. Connecting with new people in your industry expands your access to opportunities, insider knowledge, and referrals. LinkedIn connections compound over time — the more quality connections you have the more visible you become in recruiter searches.

For someone at a target company: "Hi [Name], I came across your profile while researching [Company Name] and was really impressed by your work in [area]. I'm a [your title] with a background in [relevant experience] and would love to connect and learn more about your experience at [Company Name]."

Send all 5 requests today LinkedIn allows up to 100 connection requests per week. 5 is a conservative and manageable daily habit.
Log new connections in your tracker Note who you connected with and why. If they accept follow up with a brief thank you message.
Tips for success
Always view someone's profile before sending a request — find something specific to mention
Do not immediately ask for favors after connecting — build the relationship first
If someone does not accept within 2 weeks move on — do not follow up on connection requests
